With extensive clinical research experience and numerous peer-reviewed publications, he is a leader in retinal disease treatment and innovation.
As a principal investigator in national research studies on macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, Dr. Papastergiou has contributed to groundbreaking advancements in ophthalmology. He is also a respected reviewer for major ophthalmology journals, including the Journal of Ophthalmology, Archives of Ophthalmology, Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the European Journal of Ophthalmology.
